How versatile is rope access?

Is rope access an efficient way to work?

Rope access is a versatile and efficient way to access your building or structure. Look at some of the recent access problems and solutions that Rope Task have overcome and completed in the last few weeks.

Rope Task completed the remedial painting works of the underside of the new Wolverhampton Wanderers grandstand, using IRATA rope access technicians who climbed around the existing steelwork and painted as they climbed! Without using scaffold or mobile work platforms, saving installation time and money.

Again without the need for traditional access platforms, Rope Task enabled a significant cost saving for the client while carrying out the sealing of leaking windows in a Wolverhampton office block.

Fast and efficient external window cleaning using rope access has always been a key service offered by Rope Task. As an IRATA full member company you are assured of a professional, audited and supervised rope access team on site to complete your building maintenance using specialist rope access.

City centre banner installations carried out with the minimum of disturbance to pedestrians and office users. See our installation video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-N2ELUjBl4&feature=channel

Rope Access / Abseil Anchor Points

Its essential to inspect all rope access anchor points before each use and a thorough inspection carried out every six months. Rope Task load testing engineers can inspect, load test and issue certification for all rope access and abseil anchor points. Problems such as misuse, corrosion or poor installation by another contractor can be identified by a thorough examination using Rope Task's competent engineers.

The photograph below shows a poorly installed anchor point, identified by a thorough inspection by Rope Task. This anchor point is dangerous and should never have been tagged and passed as safe.

Installation does not conform to manufacturers installation instructions - the shoulder of the anchor point is not flush against the wall.

Only using IRATA full member companies can guarantee that you are dealing with a professional rope access company.
